The Heroes and their families enjoyed themselves, and meeting everyone. Additionally, the number on the site doesn't reflect all the money we raised. We haven't completed the count, but my estimate is somewhere around $115,000 to $120,000.
Go to www.eztoregister.com/results/Impact08.htm for the results of the chip-timed race. Awards will be going out Monday and Tuesday. If you are to receive an award, and remember that you didn't put your address on the registration form, please email me (lboyd@impactahero.org) with your mailing address.
Don't forget to look at your photos and purchase one (part of proceeds go to Impact A Hero). Karen Thibodeaux came out again and shot the photos. Her website for our 5k is http://www.yoursportingimage.com/EventMain.asp?event=1689.
Again, I want to thank Marathon Oil, Pride International, The Texans, KILT FM 100.3 and Sports Radio 610AM. Likewise, Watermill, Coca Cola, Sugar Land Knights of Columbus, Catholic Daughters, Best Buy, HighFive Sportswear, Houston Aeros, Senterra and many other sponsors were instrumental in the success of our 5K. There are many other sponsors and volunteers for which I am extremely greatful for their support and help.
Because of you, our sponsors and volunteers Impact A Hero will be able to help many families.
